BYD reveals the "Dynasty" concept car, with Egger to lead its family design languageThis afternoon (April 11), BYD officially released images of its Dynasty concept car. The new model features significant exterior changes compared to previous BYD models, and its design was personally overseen by former Audi design director Wolfgang Egger. Based on available information, BYD will officially launch the car at its brand event on April 17, followed by a public appearance at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Dynasty concept car was designed by design director Wolfgang Egger, who previously oversaw Audi's product design direction. The "big mouth" grille bears a distinctive Egger signature. Inside the "big mouth," the square matrix grille is extremely unique, while the LED headlights on both sides are also distinctive in design.
From the side, we can see that the upper part of the Dynasty concept car is very similar to the previously revealed 7-seater Song, indicating that Wolfgang Egger's design language has begun to be applied to production models. Moving down, the Dynasty concept car features a segmented waistline that is powerful and dynamic, complemented by multi-spoke wheels.
On the right side of the image above, we can see part of the rear design of the Dynasty concept car. The taillights of this car maintain a similar design language to the headlights, and the design of the rear bumper also incorporates design elements of a sports car, such as the design of what appears to be air vents on both sides, which is very dynamic.
[Rumors circulate about the second-generation BYD Tang]
[BYD Song 7-seater version] The BYD Dynasty concept car represents the design direction of BYD's future new vehicles. For example, we previously obtained spy photos of the new generation BYD Tang, and we can see that many design techniques originated from this concept car. It is believed that under the leadership of designer Wolfgang Egger, BYD's design style will develop its own unique style language, making its family characteristics even more prominent.
